Privacy Policy Summary

The All Star Foundation privacy policy outlines the different categories of information collected and stored as required by the California Online Privacy Protection Act (2014). This policy details the methods of collection, what information is collected, how any information is collected, and what any collected information is used for. A formal notice is also outlined declaring the collection of information, as well as the consumer’s rights to access or delete any collected information.

For the use of this privacy policy alone, the following terms are accompanied by their definitions to be used at any point in this privacy policy.

  • Foundation – This refers directly to and about the All Star Foundation, or any reference to the word foundation from, not limited to but including “We”, “Us”, “Our”, and “This”.

  • User – The person that is accessing any services or facilities on the All Star Foundation website.

            This section describes what specific personal and usage data could be collected from a user of the All Star Foundation website. Only information relevant and useful to the All Star Foundation website would be collected to ensure the best possible experience from the user. Possible categories of data that the All Star Foundation website could collect include the following:

Cookies that are collected on the All Star Foundation website are solely used for the purposes of data collection described in the list above. Although the All Star Foundation does not use any cookies to collect data, our host does for the purpose of statistical analysis only.

Data collected by the All Star Foundation website primarily is conducted by means of either first, website contact forms, such as but not limited to the Golf Classic registration forms and shop, the contact us webpage and the donate now webpage on our website. Second, other data collected would be from your web browser, which is sometimes strictly necessary for connection to the webpage, but otherwise intended for other use detailed in the section below.

2. How we use that info

     Contact

            Data collected on the Contact Us page is meant strictly for the use of getting in touch with an All Star Foundation member / volunteer. The contact information, your name, email, phone number, message and any uploaded files are processed through our website and through our host’s website to create an email message to theallstarfoundation@gmail.com. The information is no longer stored on our website, but our host reserves the right to collect this information for uses specified in their privacy policy linked above (see definition of terms), as well as your browser may specify the collection of this information into local based cookies that allow for quicker form information entry (e. g. Auto-Fill).

     Statistical Analysis

            Usage data and personal data could be collected by our host for the sole purpose of tracking statistical data about the users that visit the website, what they access and perform on our website, and where and how they perform these actions. GoDaddy and WordPress both employ statistical tracking cookies to user’s computer for the sole purpose of tracking this statistical data about website visitation, interaction, access, and more. No specific personal information other than IP address (which is not accessible to the All Star Foundation, and is only used to distinguish between different Users) is collected in regards to statistical analysis.

     Payment

        The All Star Foundation website has the ability to receive credit card payments through the means of an eCommerce store called WooCommerce. This third party plugin in conjunction with our payment processing company, Square, Inc., are responsible for the proper transactions through the eCommerce store. All information entered into the checkout page form submission will be stored as an order record in the WooCommerce WordPress order section. The All Star Foundation collects this information for the sole purpose of ensuring the smooth and seamless ability for users to register for events that the All Star Foundation hosts. A user’s credit card information is never stored on the All Star Foundation’s servers and is securely processed through square as to never be accessible to any All Star Foundation website administrator for any reason.      Advertisement

            The All Star Foundation will never knowingly use, sell, borrow, or give away any data whether personal or usage, to an advertisement company, or any company associated with one in the means of sharing personal data. Any data collected on our website is strictly used for the featured and statistical uses already detailed in the paragraphs above.

3. California Notice of Collection

            California residents are entitled to the knowledge of data collection, as well as the use of collected data, under the California Privacy Act of 2008 (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2014 (CalOPPA). This notice of collection acts as a formal declaration of data collection and use under the CCPA & CalOPPA and outlines the purposes for which data collected from a consumer from the last 12 months can be used.

4. California Consumer Rights

California residents are entitled to specific privacy rights, as outlined in California Law, specifically the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2008 (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2014 (CalOPPA). This notice serves as a summary of the rights afforded to the consumer under the CCPA & CalOPPA and governs our aforementioned privacy principles, privacy controls, and data collection/usage methods.

Right to Know

  • Consumers have the right to know what information we collect about them. Within 45 days, this information should be made available free of charge (extensions permissible under specific circumstances).
  • In addition to what information is collected, the consumer has the right to know who we share consumer data with (other business, third party applications, etc.).

Right to Refuse & Request Deletion

  • Each user has the right to request a deletion of information that has previously been collected from the consumer.
  • Once a request is verified, we will delete consumer information.
